A RESOLUTION TEMPORARILY SUSPENDING THE SERVICE FEE CHARGED RESIDENTIAL
USERS OF SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL AREA.
WHEREAS, the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas, deems it
advisable and in the best interest of the City of Salina that residential
property owners be encouraged to clean up their premises and dispose of accumula
trash and other solid waste; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance Number 8315 provides that the Governing Body may,
by Resolution, temporarily suspend the collection of the service fees for the
use of the Solid Waste Disposal Area, SO NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That to encourage the residential property owners to
clean up their property and to properly dispose of accumulated solid waste
that the service fee charged by the City of Salina, Kansas, for the use of the
Solid Waste Disposal Area be suspended and waived for residential property
owners and tenants within the City of Salina, Kansas, and all other residents
of Saline County residing without the corporate limits of any organized city,
(during all Saturdays and Sundays during the month of April, 1976.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption -and publication once in the official city newspaper.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor this
8th day of March, 1976.
