ORDINANCE NUMBER 08-10467
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 42, ARTICLE X, DIVISION 2, SECTION
42-523 OF THE SALINA CODE PERTAINING TO SIGNS IN THE INDUSTRIAL PARK
(I-1) DISTRICT AND REPEALING EXISTING SECTION 42-523.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the city of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That Section 42-523 of the Salina Code is hereby amended and reads as follows:
"Sec. 42-523. I-1 industrial park district.
The following sign regulations shall apply in the I-1 industrial park district:
(1) Functional types permitted: Any type listed in section 42-506, except advertising
signs.
(2) Structural types permitted: Any type listed in section 42-507, except roof signs.
(3) Number of signs permitted: Two (2) per establishment.
(4) Maximum gross surface area: One (1) square foot for each lineal foot of street
frontage.
(5) Maximum height: Thirty (30) feet.
(6) Required setback: Ten (10) feet.
(7) Illumination: Illuminated signs shall be permitted."
Section 2. That existing Section 42-523 is hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effective after its publication once
in the official city newspaper.
