Whereas, under the provisions of Ordinance. No. 133,6, the mayor and
council -advertised for bids for the paving of Santa Fe avenue, between

the south side of Iron avenue and the south side of Walnut street, with
UVarren's bitulithic pavement, and other kinds of paving, and the curbing
of such street, within the limits named, with cementcurb, which adver-
tis&-ment for bids is bereb-v- approved and ratified; nd,,
Whereas, bids on such paving and cur-bing: have been filed with and are

bid will. not exceed the estimate of the cost of such work or improvement
heretofore made by the city en, now on gineer-and file with the citta► clerk
of said city; and,
Whereas, the said mayor and council hereby determine that such street,
within the limits above defined, shall be paved with 77arren's bitulithic

Be it ordained by the 4ayor and Councilmen of the city of Salina:
Section I. That a contract be and is hereby let to the Kansas
Bitulithic, company for- the paving of Santa -Fe avenue, from the south side
of Iron avenue to the south side, of Walnut street, in the cit.- of Salina,
Kansas, with Warren's bitulithic pavement ob 011MA11-i base,
at and for t uhifonm price of t,,ro dollars and sev�rftteen cents ($2.17)
per square yard, including all excavating and filling necessary t1lere,to,
and that a further contract be let to said IIE-ansas Bitulithdc compan, for
the curbing of both side -5 of said Santa Fe avenue., within the limits above
defined,

Sec. 2. That such paving and curbing shall be constructed according
to the established grade of such street_, as heretofore established by the
mayor and council b-,,, Ordinance! No. 429, . passsed and approved November
27, 1884, "wrhich said ordiance No. 429 is hereb-Y referred to and made a
part of this ordinance;, an ^ in the width, form and -,-anner specified and
required by the provisions of Ordinance No. 1336, passed and approved
September 24th, 1906, and the plans and specifications and profiles of
the cit', engineer- for "Varraen s bitulithic pavement- on a
m&oad" b i !-�m=cf October 15, 1961 , and now on file with -
clerk 7 which said ordinance 'No. 1336 and such plans, speci-
fications and prof,iles 4
J. are hereby referred to and nade a part of this
ordinance,.
Sec. 3. That the cite attorney is hereby instructed to prepare a
contradt with the said Kansas Bitulithic company, for the paving and

curbing in this ordinance described, and tatthe ityiayor and city clerk
are hereby authorized t -o execute such contract for and on behalf of the
cit:y- of Salina.
See. 4. This ordinance shall take /effect and be in force from and
after its publicat.ion once in the Salina R-,rening, Journal.
