An ordinance providing for the issuance
of bonds
of the City
of Salina,in
the sum of to pay
for the
improvements
of
portions of Santa Fe avenue in said city.
WHEREAS, in pursuance of proceedings duly had and taken according
to law, contracts have been let for the improvement of Santa Fe avenue in
the city of Salina, Kansas from the south side of Iron avenue to the
south side of the 81 J®d the total cost of

said improvement has been ascertained, and the portion thereof to be paid
by a general tax to be levied upon all of the taxable property within

said city has been ascertained to be the sum of $ V477

0, ground liable therefor has been ascertained and said amount has been
heretofore duly assessed and apportioned to the said several lots and
pieces of ground, payable in ten annual installments, accordirc to law,
and the amount for which bonds are to be issued in anticipation of said

special assessments which remain unpaid has been ascertained and is
hereby determined to be the sum of and
WHEREAS, all legal requirements have been fully, complied with to
authorize) the issuance of bonds on account of said imrovements, there-
fore,
Be it .ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the city of Salina:
Section 1. That there shall be issued on account of said street
improvement a series of bonds of the city of Salina, in the aggregate SUIE
of T,which shall consist of bonds of $1,000.00
each, and one bond of $ all bearing date of September lst,`
1906, numbered f rom No. 1 too.A
, bearing interest at the rate of
five per cent per annum, payable semi-annually on March lst and September
lst of each year, arid shall become due and payable as follows: $

in each and every year thereafter for the perioci of nine years.
Sec. 2. That said bonds shall be signed by the Mayor and attested
by the Clerk of said city and shall have the corporate seal of the city
attached thereto, and that the interest coupons shall be signed by the
city clerk, and that both bonds and coupons shall be payable at the
Fiscal Agency of the State of Kansas, in the city of New York, State of
New York.

lithic company, in. payment for the improvements made and that the �
mayor and council shall annually make provision for the payment of the
principal and interest of said bonds, as the same shall become due, by�
