An ordinance providing for the issuing of Sixteen Thousand
(,§16,000) Dollars Refunding Bonds to pay a like amount
of outstanding General Improvement Bonds dated
January lst, 1886,.and maturing January
1st. 1906, and numbered from one to
sixteen inclusive,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the City of
Salina, Kansas;
Section I That there shall be and there is hereby ordered
issued,,the negotiable coupon bonds of the City of Salina to the
aggregate amount of Sixteen Thousand ($16000) Dollars, foT the
'-rurpose of refunding I ike amount of the, outst-anaincr bonded indebt-
edness of said city, heretofore legally issued, and wh-i-ch is now
a valid, binding and subsisting obligation of said city of Salina.
Section 2 That the bonds hereby authorized shall consist of sixteen
(16) bonds of the denomination of one thousand (ItOOO) Dollars
each, and numbered consecutively from one to sixteen, both numbers
inclusive, ajj,1 shall each be designated refunding bonds, and shall
bear date January lst. -1906, and become due and payable January
1st. 1916,&PLd shall bea r -interest from date until paid. at the
rate of four and three-fourths (4 3/4%) percent per annumt interest
payable semi-annumally on the first days of January and July Of
each year, interest to the -friaturitY Of said refunding bonds to be
evidenced by pr(pe.r interest coupons to be attached to each bond,
and both principal and- interest of said refunding bonds shall be
payable at the Fiscal Agency of the State of Kansasp in the attYt
and State of New York*
Section 3 This Ordinance shall to ;e effect and be in force from
and after its publication once in t. -.e Salina Evening Journal, the
official paper Of said city.
