An ordinance providing for the sprinkling of Iron avenue, lroip Seventh
street to College avenue.,

Be it ordained -by the Mayor and- Counc i1man o.L the C ity, of
Section 1. That in accordance with chapter 132, Session Law- of
Kansas, 1903, providing for the sprinkling of streets, and-incompliance
with a petition signed. by a rv-jority of the resident pMqWXJQC owners of
real estate fronting on Iron avenue, from Seventh street to College
avenue, in said city, said petition req %�
L ,uesting the mayor and councilmen
to have that portion of said street sprinkled, it is ordered that that
portion of said street be sprinkled froin the__&,� day o 1905)
until the first day of October, 1905. f4(4��-
Sec. 2. That advertisement for bids having been duly made in
the official paper of said city, as required by law,,and as heretofore
ordered by the city council, and Y. A. Stevenson being the lowest re-
sponsible bidder for the sprinkling of said street, the contract for
such sprinkling is hereb-
y awarded to the said M. A. Stevenson at the,
monthly cost of Fort,, (40) dol.l.ars per month.
Sec. 3. '11'o.r the purpose of defraying the cost and expense,of
such sprinkling a levy upon the real estate, frontingr -a.pon tl--iat port6nn
of said Iron avenue of a tax sufficient to defray the entire expense of
said spr:UqklinE;, including; cost of sprinkling intersections, is herebN,
authorized, which tax shall. be apportioned according to the limeal front
footage of 1)roperty adjacent. to said street so sprtakled, without, regard

Sec. 4. That the amount of said assess--cient- so levied shall be
paid into the tr,�asuny of said ci-1U-Jy on or before the first day of Aug-

county, Kansas, by the clerk of said city,, at the same time and in the
