RESOLUTION NUMBER 86-3846
A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THAT CERTAIN REAL ESTATE IS NO
LONGER NEEDED BY THE CITY OF SALINA FOR PARK PURPOSES, THAT A
' SALE THEREOF WOULD BE IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE CITY, AND
AUTHORIZING SUCH SALE.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
I
Section 1. That it is hereby determined that the following described
real estate is no longer needed or required for park purposes of the City of
Salina, Kansas:
The South Fifty Feet (S 50') of the East Half (E}) of Lot
Three (3) and the North Half (N}) of Lot Five (5), Block
Ten (10), South Park Addition to the City of Salina, Saline
County, Kansas.
Section 2. That it would be in the best interest of the City of Salina,
Kansas, that the above described real estate be sold.
Section 3. That if within thirty (30) days from the date of the last
publication of this resolution there has not been filed with the City Clerk a
protest
signed by the qualified
electors
of the City
of Salina
equal in
number to
not less
than ten percent (10%)
of the
electors who
voted in
the last
preceding
regular
city election as shown
by the
poll books,
then the
City of
Salina will
proceed to sell said property. The City Manager is authorized and directed to
take the necessary steps to implement the intent and directions of this
Resolution.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its publication in the official city newspaper once a week for two
consecutive weeks upon the same day of the week.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor this
9th day of June 1986.
