An ordinance providing fer the condemnation, removal and re -construction
of certain sidewalk in the city of Salina, Kansas
Beit ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina:
Section 1 . That the side:ivalk e.n they west side of and in front of
lots numbered '105 and 107 on Seventh street; the: sidewalk in front. of Lots
numbered 1, 31 5, 7 9, ill 131 151 17, 19, 21,;.'231 251 27 and 29 on
Oakdale avenue, in Block 6, Riversdde Park.addition R he sidewalk on the
west side; of Lotnumbered 5 on Third street,
all in the: city
of Salina, Kansas, be and tris sarse is hereb3T condemned as worn out, worth-
less and unfit_ for .repair, and that said sidewalk be removed and reeon-
strcuted as provided in this .ordinance .
Sec. 2. That the owner or owners of said lots above described
be and they are hereby required to remove said sidewalks condemned by
section one hereof and re -construct the. same, in the manner and of the
material specified in this ordiance. on or before the I9'4day of January,
1905. _f_�
Sec. 3. The: sid.eaivalk herein provided for shall be built. of the
material, in the -width,. form and manner specified and required by the
provisions of Ordinance: No. 1038 of the printed ordinances of the city, of.
--:5 inw, Kansas-, which said ordinance nusabered 1038 is hereby incorporated
in and made a part of this ordinance.
Sec. 4. The committee on saidewalks of the city council shall,
as soon as practicable after the saidday of January, 1905, cause
such sidewalk to 'be re=builtand re -constructed in front of and adjacent.
to the lots described in.section one of this ordinance whose owner.of
owners Cail or refuse to re -build and re -construct smch walks as required
by this ordinance, and shall report its proceedings, together with the
length of walk so built and constructed, and the actual expense thereof,
to the city -council, and that the expense.of removing and re -building
thet same by said committee shall be assessed and taxed against the real.
estate abutting thereon_.
Sec . 5. this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after t its publicat ion once in the Salina Evening Journal.
