1234 Sidewalk Improvments - Elm StreetORDINANCE NO. An ordinance providing for -the construction of certain sidewalk in,. the city of Salina, Kansas. Be it ordained by the 14ayor- and Councilmen of the city of Salina: -- Section 1. That the owner, or owners of any and all real estate abutting on, the north side, of Elm street, from Eighth street to RIwxmx i x x Twelfth street, and on the west side: of Eleventh street from Elm street to the I,Iissouri Pacific railroad right of way, all in the city of Salina., Kansas, are hereby _reg}uired t c•onstruct, or cause to 'be con- structed, on or before the 1 6 4z� day df geptember, 1904, a sidewalk im front of, along and adjacent to all the lots or parts of lots aamLt:X abutting on the respective streets above described and designated, in the manner and of the material and width specified and required by the pro- visions of Ordinance No. 1038 of the printed ordinances of the city of Salina, ' which said x Asx Ordinance No. 1038 is hereby incorporated Xxit in and made a part of this ordinance. Sec. 2 That the committee on sidewalks of the city council shall, as soon as practicable after the said__LX!� day of September, 1904, cause such sidewalk to be constructed in front: of, along and adjacent to all the lots and parts of lots abutting on the respective streets above described whose owner or owners have not complied with the fore- going provisions, and shall report their proceedings, together with the length of the ,Aralk so constructed and the actual expense thereof to the city council. Sec. 3. The expense of constructing such walk by said committee shall be assessed against the real estate abutting thereon, according t_o the front; foot thereof, and collected as other taxes against such reale estate. Sec. 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication once in the Salina Evening Journal. Passed and approved: May o r Attest:
