0 R D I N A N C R No.1201.
An ordinance providing for the construction of certain sidewalk in the
Pity.of :Sal ina,Kans*as.
,Be it ordained by the Mayor and-Couhoilmen of the -city of mal ina:-
Sec.11 That the owner or owner's. of any and all real estate abutting on
the East si de of 11th.Street,froraIlIalnut Street south to South Street
on the South side of Walnut Street from llth.Stre-et wort to the alley, J
being the north side ,,of Lot No.22 on ilth.Streetin Phillip's 2nd.Addition
on the East si de of Sth.Street from Elm Street north to the tracks of
Pac if is
the Iffissouri Rail Ro.ad,,.Company all in SalinaiKans'as,are hereby required to
construct or cause to be constructed on or before the 17th.day of October
of
1903)a side -walk, in front and adjacentto all the lots and parts of lots
above
abutting the respective sides of streets-gescribed,in the mab'ner of the
material and width specified and required by the provisions of the Ord-
inance No.1038 of the printed ordinances of thecity of S
al in a, -wh ich said
—Ord-in-ance No.1038 is hereby incorporated in and made a part of- this.Ord-
inance.
Sec.11;, That the ,committee on sidewalks of -the city council shall as som
as practicable after the said 17th..day of October 1903
cause such sidewalk
-described in Sec.1 hereof to be constructed where the ovmers have not
complied with the foregoing provisions,a'
n&shall report their proceedings
,together with the length and dimensions of the walk so constructed by
said committee and the, actual expense thereof to the city council.
Sec.111, The expense of constructing said -walks by said committee shall
be assessed against the real estate abut.ting thereon according to the
front thereof.
Sec.lVI This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after
-4ts publication once in the Salina Rve'ning, Journal.
