An ordinance making a levy of taxes for general revenue and other pur-
�. `_I"I poses in the. city of Salina, Kansas, for the year 1903.
r- - Be' it ordained by the Mayor and Counci1.rten of the city �of+Salin�i--
Section 1. That the surd of Twenty -tom and five -tenths
mills on the dollar be and the same is hereby levied on all real, mixed
and personal property in the city of Salina, Kansas, for the year 1903,
for the following purposes: For general revenue ten (10) mills on the
.dollar; for opening and improving streets and alleys, building bridges,
rs five (5).mills on the.do
culverts, crossings and seraellar; for a sink-
ing .fund_ (��omill 3 on the dollar;. for paying the interest
on outstanding bonds .flue and five -tenths (5.5) for
on the dollar, and
for the support of a free public liibr,,-aby,one (1) mill on the dollar.
Sec. 2. That the sum of fat�cr, ( milds on the dollar be and the
same is,hereby levied on all real estate in the city of Salina, Kansas,
for the year 1903, for the purpose of paying the secondtinstallment of.
and interest on the server' bonds issued October 1, 1901, and July -1, 1902;x!
and the' third inallment of and interest on severer bonds issued February
Sec...3 That the levy. of sixteen (16) mills on the dollar on all
` real estate and personal property in -,the ``city of. Sauna. school district,
,F .made by.the Bo of Education of the city of Salina, Kansas, for the.
year 1903, be the same is hereby. approved.
Sec. 4. The valuation of the property upon vrhich the' foregoing
taxes are:levidd and assessed is, in all cases, taken from..the assessment
rolls of the present year in 'the county clerk's office of Saline county,,
and it shall be the year
of the city clerk, immediately upon the publi
cation of this ordinance, to transmita duly certified copy of the, -same
to.the county clerk of Saline county, Kansas.
Sec. 5. This ordinance shall take effect.. .and. be in force from
