O RD INANC E No.1197.
An ordinance providing for the construction of certain sidewalk in the
city -of Sal ina,Kansas .
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the city of Sal ina: --
Sec.l, That the owner or owners of Lots numbered lo -12 -14 -16 -18 -20 -33-
34 -35 -36 -and 37 University Place in University Addition,and all the r eal
estate on the west side of Eleventh Street between Iron Avenue and Walmut
Street in the city of Salina,Kans as,are jhereby required to construct or
cause to,be constructed on or before the 19th.day of September 1903,a k.
sidewalk in front of,x= along and adjacent to all'the otc` and parts of
lots herein described and the street herin d d,xn in the manner
and of the material and width specified and required by the provisions
of ordinance No.1038 of the.printed ordinances of the city of Salina.
Sec.11, That the committee @A sidewalks shallgas soon as 'p• cticaole after
the said .19th.day of September 1903,cause such sidewalk defined in Sec.
one hereofto be constructed herein provided whos owners have not com-
plied with the foregoing provisions and shall report their proceedings
together with the length,ar.d dimensions of the walks so constructed by
the said committee and the actual expense to the city council.

Sec.111, The expense of constructing said walk by said committee shall
be assessed against the real Ies. tate abbutting thereon)aacording to the
front foot thereand collected as other taxes against such real estate.
Sec.3V,, -ham; Ihis ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its - publication once in the Salina Evening Journal.
