An ordinance making a special assessment and levy of taxes for cutting
weeds on certain lots.and.parts.of.lots for_the_year 1903...
Be it ordained by the Mayor and',Councilmen of the city of Salina:
Section 1. That there be and is hereby levied a special tax, in
addition to the tax for general revenue and other purposes, for -the pur-
pose of paying for the cutting of weeds by the city of Saline. on certain
lots and .parts of lots hereinafter described, in said city, in the sev
oral amounts set opposite the description of said lots and parts of,lots,
to -wit:

Sec 2. That it shall be the duty of the.city clerk to snake a
certified copy of this ordinance and deliver the same to the county
clergy. of Saline county, Kansas, on or before the 25th day of August 1903,
whose duty it shall be to place the several amounts mentioned in section
one of this ordinance on the tax rolls of said county to be collected as
one tax in the same manner as other taxes are collected.
Sec. 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its publication once in the Salina Evening Journal.
