An ordinance providing for the construction of cer-tain sidewalk in the
cit;; of Balina, Kansas.
Be it ordained by the PZa.yor and Councilmen of the ci+y of Salina:--_
Section 1. That the owner - or owners of any and..all real estate
abi.itting on the- .north side of State street fr,orn College avenue east to the
junction of said State street with Tenth street, and on the west side of
Phillips street between State stree;t and Iron avenut'., a11 in �a Ina,
Kansas, are hereby required to construct,'or causeto e constructed, on
or before: the
day of , 1903 , a s i.dnwalk in front of, along
and adjacent to al_ the lot r parts of lots abutting on the respective
sides of such streets above described and designated, in the manner and
of the material and width specified and iq required by the . provis ions of.
==;_Ordinance No. 1038 of the printed ordinances of the citi of Salina, which
said ordinance No. 1038 is hereby incorporated in and made a part of this
ordinance.
Sec. 2. That the Committee on Sidekva,lks of the cite council
shall, as soon as practicable after- the said / `fw'day of,1903 ,
cause such sidewalk to be constructed in front of, along a_jacent to
all-t1ie. lots and parts of lots abutting on the respective sides of the`,
streets a'oove described whose owners have not compliedwit'h the fore-
goin,; pro r ,ion3, and shall report_. t:u.eir -)roceedin; s, together with the
length and dinmenions of the walk so constructed by said coimaitte.e:, -tx
and the actual expense thereof to the citl. council.
Sec. 3 The expense of constructing said walk by said cormnittee
shall be assessed against the real estate abutting thereon, according to
the front foot thereof, and collected as other taxes against such real
estate.
Sec .- 4. This ordinance shall take e Pfect and be in force from
and after its publication on.ceA in the Salina Evening Journal.
