An ordinance regulating the riding of bicycles on the Streets and
sidewalks t --the City of Salina, Kansas.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE,MAYOR.•AND COUNCILMEN OF THE CITY Or to ride a bicycle SATINA.personSE6Y- I . That it shall be urla�vf�al for any person
upon any sidewalk wit iii the following defined limits in said city,to writ:

Ua&t Street and Elrn street, on Iron A en
between ?gest - o and t e st eide of Street,
and on Ash Street between the West side and
and the East side
of C#,,S�t re et .
SEC.. 2. That; it .shall be unlawful for any person to ride any bicycle, -
upon or over any of the sidewalks in the City of Salina not mentioned in
Section I of this ordinance exi.•�ept at such times when the streets adjacent
thereto sha.11 be in an unsafe condition .from any cause for the riding of
.such bicycle thereon.
Sec. 3. That it shall be unlawfal for any person to ride any bicycle
upon any sidewalk in the city of Salina at a speed greater than six miles
per hour, or to pass any pedestra_in thereon at a speed greater than three
miles per hour.
Sec. 4. That it shall be unlawful for any person while riding any
bicycle to -run upon or against any person on any sidewalk or street crossing,
and it is hereby wade the duty of all bicycle riders to have attached to
his or her bicycle an alarm bell which shall be sounded at all street
Crossings or whet; meetij.,g any vehicle in the street,and to have attached
to his or her bicycle a lamp when riding upon the sideTa,lk on dark nights.
Sec.,5. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance
shall.be delemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction therefor shall
any, -five ($25.00 )dollars, and the fired in r
