1184 Sidewalk Improvements Santa Fe Avenuea

ORDINANCE N0.-1- .
An ordinance condemning and providing for the re- construction of a cer-
tain piece of sidewalk on the North side of Lot No.110' on
Santa. Fe ave nue , in the city of Salina; Kansas.
Be it ordained by the Ivayor, and Councilmen of the city of Salina: --
Section 1. That that portion of the sidewalk on the not"th side
of Lot No.'110,; on Santa Fe avenue, in. the city of Salina, constructed of
plank and now used as a covering and door for the area way leading into
the basement.. of the building situate on said lot•, above described, is
hereby condemned . as worn out, worthless and dangerous, and that such
part of such sidewalk be removed) re -built and re constructed as herein
provided.
Sec . 2. That the owner of said lot No .110" aforesaid, or his
agent or agents if said owner be a non-resident, be and he is hereby
required to remove such plank walk or door wa,7 and re -construct, re-
build and replace the same in the manner and of the material specified
in this ordinance on or before: the 28th day of 1VIay, 1903.
,Sec. 3. That such door way or covering shall be discontinued
and closed up, and such space shall be built. up with a plank flooring
made of pine plank not, less than two inches in thickness,, nailed upon.

such work shall be constructed and fastened together with necessary and
proper bolts and spikes to insure a safe and permanent; improvement., and
be done under the suPer•vision and direction of the Committee on Sidewal�Ls
of the cit) council,1and to the satisfaction of Stich cor:ntnittee.
Sec. 4. . The Cornuaittee on .Sidelvalks of the city council shall_,
at once after' the said 28th day of Alay, 1903, cause: such sidewalk and
cellar way to be closed up and re -built. and re -constructed as provided
in section three; of this ordinance, if such owner: or agent or agents
fail by such time to make silch repairs, and sha

doings in the premises, together, with the cost of such improvement, to
