OBD INANCE NO. I I � I.
An ordinance providing for the condemnation, removal and reconstruction
of certain sidewalk in the city of Salina, Kansas.
Be it ordained by the TSayor and Councilmen of the City of Selina:
Sect ion. I.- That each and all of- thefolloiving'.described sidewalk

Qn. Sante Fe _avenue. the walk on the south_ side of lot 137 on fourth
street.;. the walk in front of lots 144, 146, 162, 164, 16'6, 168, 170, 172, -
174, 178 and 180 on Fourth street; in front of lot 139 on Fifth street;
east side of lot 188 on South street; east side of lot 47, in Block
6, on k7ashington street, Morrison's Third addition; west side. of lot 7
in Block 13, on Gypsiun,avenue, Oakdale addition; in front of lots 8, 9,
101 11, 12 and 13,'.in Block 13, Oakdale avenue, and lots 11 21 31 4, dnd
5, in Block 10., on :Cron avenue, all in Oakdale addition; lots 1, 2, 3,
4, 5, 6 and 7, in Block 3, and''lots 1, 21 31 4, 51 6 and 7, in Block.5,,
on Iron avenue, in Phillips' East Side addition; the walk on the north
side o" lot -.l, in Block 5, on Ohio avenue, Phillips' East Side. addition;
lots 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16, in Block 5, an North street, in Depot addi-
tion; lots 22 and 24, on Eleventh stree south side of lot 24 on Elev-
enth street, the south side -of lot 23 on Twelfth street, and the7' walk in
front of lots 21 41 6, 8, 10; 123 14, , 18, 20, 22 and 24 on TtWelfth
street, all in Wellington's addition,lbe, and they are hereby, condemned
as worn out, worthless- and unfit for repair, and that said walks be .
?removed and re -constructed as provided in this ordinance.
-Sec. 2 . That the ofrmer or owners of each of the several lots
and parts �of lots mentioned- in section- one of this ordinance -be and they
P -7 --are hereby required to remove the sidewalks condel!-ined.• tiherebvlland to
re -construct the same, in the ma.nnerand of the material specified in
this ordinance on or before the -10day of May, 1903.
Sec. 3. The sidewalk herein provided for shall be of ev*,n : grade
throughout, to be determined by the city engineer, and shell be�built of
the material, in the width, form and manner specified and required by the
provisions of Ordinance No. 1038 of the printed ordinances of the city
of Salina, 'which said ordinance No. 1038 .is hereby incorporated in and
imide a mart of this ordinance.
Sec. 4. The Committee on 13idewalks shall, as soon as practi-
cable, after the said _;_da.r of May, 19031 cause such sidewalks to be,
re -built and re -constructed in front of and along; and adjacent to all or
any of the premises described in section one hereof whose owners fail
and refuse to re -build and re -construct said walks as required by this
ordinance, and shall report, its puoceedings, together with the length of
walk so built and constrcuted, and the actual expense theref to the
city council; and that the expense of removing and rebuilding the same
shell be assessed -and t -axed -against the real estate abutting thereon..
Sec. 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its publication once.in the Salina Evening Journal.
