Be it ordained by this Tyr_and Councilmen of the city of Salina:
Section 1. That .a contract for the repair and reconstruction of
the east ;.,nd ;gest approaches to the Elm street bridge, in the city of
Salim, Kansas, is hereby 'let to D. W. Norton & Corapar.��', of Salina, at
and for tie. sumof SeTrAn hundred fifty-five and 85/100 (755.85) Dollars,
as, per, the proposal of said D . W. Norton $c Co . , .on file with the city
clerk, which said proposal is hereby made a part of this ordina,nc.e.
Sec. 2. That such work as herein provided for.and hereby let to
the said D. W— .Norton & Co., shall be done in the. manner and in strict
accordance witill the plans and specifications of the city engineer for
such work now on file with said city clerk.
pec 3. That the city attorney 'be instructed to prepare a contract
for the work'embraced in this ordinance with the' said D. W. Norton & Co.,
and that the Mayorm and Clerk execute said contract for and on behalf of
said city, and'.the said D. W. Norton & Co shall execute to the city of
Salina a good and sufficient bond, ' in the sum of.. ; 500.00., to be,'approved
by the Mayor, for the proper execution of t< 16 work embraced herein, and
saving the citeharmless from any and all demands and claims of any
�►! nature or character:, whatsoever arising from the -doing` of such work.
Sec. 4. This ordinance shall take -effect and be in force fr-om
and after its,.publicat:ion once in the Salina Eveneing Journal.
