An ordIrfance providing for: the construction of certain s:idewa11,� in the
Citv'of Salina,Kansas.
Be it ordained by time Mayor and Councilmen of the city .'of Salina:
Section 1: That the owner or -.owners. of any and all real estate
abutting .on the lVest side of Third street, between North street and
Forest avenue, in Jones' addition to.. the city of Salina,. and on the west
side of Tenth street from Morrison avenue -south through Morr•ison!s Third
addition -'to the south line of Washington avenue in said addition, and on
the west side of Tenth street from.said Washington avenue to Prescott
avenue, as said Tenth .street is laid out, created, extended and opened by
the provisions of Ordinance No. 1156, being -an Ordinance entitled "an or-
uinan.ce; oi)ening and extending Tenth street, inthe city of Salina,. Kansas,"
are hereby requir-ed to construct, or cause ,to be constructed, on or '
.before t'fie 15th.:da\,. of` October, 1.902, a sidewalk on the west side of said
Tenth -street as above defined and'laid out and in front of and'adjaeent to
the property &butt i#g on said ka west:.side. o.f said Tenth. streat and the
-vest side. of said. Third street, Jones:' addition, in the manner and of the
material and width spec if ied- and: required by the provisons . of Ordinance
No. 1038 of .the printed ordinance of 'Salinaf which said ordinance No.
1038 is hereby incorporated .in and made a part of. this ordinance .
Sec. 2. That the Committee on Sidewalks of the`: city council
. sha 11., as soon as- practicable after the said. 15th day of. Oct ober•, 190 ,
cause . Such. sidewalks to be. constructed in front of'.and. adjacent to all or
any -of . the lots and pieces of -groudd' abuttin; said' street on the west,',
as , here it efore described an.d defined, whose owners `fail or refuse to
comply with the requirementsof :this ordinance, and shall report their
proceedings,...toget-her with the.length and dimensions -of the;.walk so
constructed 'and the actuiaa expense. of the .same to the city council.
Sec. 3. The expense of constructing said walk by •sa•id committee
shall be assessed against the- real estab.e abutting thereon: and collected
as other. taxes against. such real estate..'::
Sec. -4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force.from and
after its i7Xhliion once in the Salina Daily Republican -Journal..,

Be it, ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the* City of Salina:

addition, and abutting on the west side. of Tenth street, from said Wash-

entitled "an ordinance opening and.extending enth street in the city of
Salina, Kansas," are hereby requi d t6 construct -or a to be construct-
ed, on or before the
day of 1902)
a sidewalk on the ,,vest side of sa id Tenth street as above defined and
laid out and in fr-o of and adjacent to the ;property abutting on said west
side of said streetin the manner and :of the material and - width specified
and required in Ord ance No. 1038 of the printed ordinances of the city
of Salina,�:vhich said Ordinance No. 10 8 is herieby incorporated in and
made a part of this ordinance.
Seca 2- Than the Cormmittee on sidewalks f the ity council shall,
as soon as practc.able after the said�c�day of , 1902,e-
cause such sidewalk to be constrcuted in front of.and adjacent to _.all or -
any of the lots and pieces of ground abutting said W streetsdn the west,
as hereinbefore. laid out and -defined, whose owners have not cor6lied with
' the foregoing requirements,, and shall report their proceedings, together
with the length and dimensions of such walk so ' constructed, and the actual
expense of the same, to thecitycouncil.
Sec. 3. The expense for constructing said walk by said -committee
shall he assedsed. against the real estate abutting thereon and collected
as other -taxes against such real-estate.
Sec. 4. This ordinance shall take effect and'be in force from and
after its publication one e in thA Salina Daily Re:publ ican�Journal
