Be it ordained by time Mayor and Councilmen of the city .'of Salina: Section 1: That the owner or -.owners. of any and all real estate abutting .on the lVest side of Third street, between North street and Forest avenue, in Jones' addition to.. the city of Salina,. and on the west side of Tenth street from Morrison avenue -south through Morr•ison!s Third addition -'to the south line of Washington avenue in said addition, and on the west side of Tenth street from.said Washington avenue to Prescott avenue, as said Tenth .street is laid out, created, extended and opened by the provisions of Ordinance No. 1156, being -an Ordinance entitled "an or- uinan.ce; oi)ening and extending Tenth street, inthe city of Salina,. Kansas," are hereby requir-ed to construct, or cause ,to be constructed, on or ' .before t'fie 15th.:da\,. of` October, 1.902, a sidewalk on the west side of said Tenth -street as above defined and'laid out and in front of and'adjaeent to the property &butt i#g on said ka west:.side. o.f said Tenth. streat and the -vest side. of said. Such. sidewalks to be. constructed in front of'.and. adjacent to all or any -of . the lots and pieces of -groudd' abuttin; said' street on the west,', as , here it efore described an.d defined, whose owners `fail or refuse to comply with the requirementsof :this ordinance, and shall report their proceedings,...toget-her with the.length and dimensions -of the;.walk so constructed 'and the actuiaa expense. of the .same to the city council.
