Be it..,ordained by tn.e Mayor and-Councilmeq.of the City of Salina:--
Section I. That the mayor and council of the city of Salina,
are hereby authorized and `e�ipowered to construct, or cause to be con-
structed, within said city of Salina, lateral swers, as follows, to -wit:
/a A twelve Winch lateral sewer commencing at and connecting with the
:Hain sewer on Ash street, in the center of Tenth street, running thence
south on the center of said Tenth street to the center. of South street,
tHence vest on said South street to a point opposite the center of
°Twelfth street where the same inteiree cts with said South street be-
tween Lots 53 and 54 in Phillips' Second addition to said city, in all a
distance of about feet;
A twelve-inceras-sewer��commmencing at and connecting with. the
sewer.in the center of Santa -Fe avenue at the intersection of said Santa
-we avenue ��itii Prescott avenue, . thence" '-soutri on.. --t he center of said Santa
Fe avenue to the center'o'f Bond street, in. Bond''aaddition to said city,
a distance of about, 2000 feet;
All of the ,above . ser,rers to be built in the imnner and form and of
the material spec if ied' and required in the plans and spedif ieat ions of the
city engineer of said cite now on file in the office of the city clerk
of Salina.
- Sec. 2. That -a contrac-t--r6r-Oie-biuilding--ard construction of both
of the above named and described severs is hereby let to the Salina
Plumbing Company, of Salina, Kansas, at and for .the price or prices
named in its proposal on file, with the city clerk`'`of said city, and which
said proposal is.hereby incorporated in.and made.a part of this ordi-
nance.
Sec. 3. That the city attorney be_instructed,to prepare a contract
for the construction of said sewers with saiq Salina Plumbing Company,
in accordance , with this ordinance, and that y q:X�rd city clerk
execute said contract f or .and on behalf, of said' cit v .
Sec. 4. That this ordinance .take; :effect and be in force from and
after its publication once. in the'Salina. Daily Republican -Journal.
