Be it ordained by the ;Arlayor and C ounc ilmen of the City of Salina
Section 1. That the mayor and c ounc it of the city of Salina,
Kansas, are hereby .,uthorized and empowered to `extend P_nd construct or
cause to be extended and constructed a lateral sewer beginning at a con -
present
nect ion with the 1\lateral sewer on mx the alley .
between Seventh and Eighth streets, on South street, running west on said
South street to the center of Tenth street, a distance of two and one-
half bloc'#s, in the manner and form and of the material and dimensions
specified and required in the plans and specifications of the city en-
gineer of said city now on file in the office of the city clerk.
She. 2. That the mayor and council are hereby authorized and

empowered to contract for the extension�,and construction of said sewer

according to and for the price or p ices named in the proposal of said

Sec. 3. That the city attorney be instructed to prepare a con-
t r ct for the extension and construction. of said sewer with the said
