1086 Levy General Revenue Taxr.
ORDINANCE NO. Mg..
An ordinance making a levy.,of taxes for general revenue and other purposes
in the City of -Salina, Kansas, for the year 1901.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina:
Section 1. That the sum of twenty-five (25) mills on the dollar
be and the same is hereby levied on all real, mixed and personal property
in the city of Salina, Kansas, for the year A. D. 1901, for the following
purposes, viz:
Forgeneral revenue, the sum of ten (10).mills on the dollar;
For opening and improving streets, avenues and alleys, and for• build-
ing bridges, culverts and crossings, the sum of five (5) mills on the
dollar;
For a sinkin fund to redeem certain outstanding bonds of said city,
the sum of three �3) mills on the dollar;
For paying interest on the fol.lowing'borids of said city, to -wit:
,$16,000 of bonds i9sued•January 1, 1886; $7,000 of bonds issued March 1,
1888; $16,000 of bonds -issued July 1, 1888;.$20,000 of bonds issued No-
vember 29, 1889; $27,000'of"bonds issued January 1, 1898; $44,000 of bonds
issued July 1, 1899 and $2,000 of bonds issued February.•1,, 1901, the sum
of six , (A ), mills on the dollar;
For:.the support of a free public library, one.(1)•mill on the dollar.
Sec. 2. That.,the sum of fives -tenths (5%10) mills on the dollar
be and'the same is. hereby levied on all real estate in the city of Salina,
Kansas,*for the year 1901, for the purpose of paying interest on $10,666
of sewer bonds issued by said city.
Sec. 3. That the sum of two (2) mills on the dollar be and the
same is hereby letried on all real-estate in the city of Salina, Kansas,
for the year. 1901 for'the purpose of paying the first installment of

100.00 on the,J11,000.00 of.,'sewer bonds issued by said city on the
first day of February, 1901., and the: -interest on such,bonds up to the date
of the maturity of such first installment.
Sec 4. That the levy .of sixteen and one-fourth (1:6 1%4) mills
on the dollar on all real estate and personal property in the city of
Salina, Kansas, scholl district, made by the Board of Education of the
city of Salina, Kansas, for•the_year 1901, be..and the same is hereby
approved.
Sec. 5. That the city clerk is hereby instructed to certify the
levies herein provided and made to the'co:hnty clerk of Saline county,
Kansas,. to be placed upon the tax roll.,for collection as provided by law.
Sec.6`. That Ordinance No,, "16 .j passed and approved August 19,
1901, be and the.same is hereby repealed..
Sec.'7. That this ordinance take effect and be in force from and
