Be it ordained by the Mayor and'Councilmen.,df the City of Salina: -- •Section 1. That each ar_d all of the following described side- walks"and pieces and parts of sidewalks' in the city of Salina, Kansas, to -wit: the sidewalk in front of and adjacent to lots numbered 19, 203. 21, 221 23 and 24, on Ash street, in University addition to said.city;v­ the walk on the north end of that piece of land owned by Leon Wary, situ- ated on Ash street, between Tenth and Eleventh streets, in Bishop's addi- tion to said city;,he walk on the north side! of Lot numbered 9 on Third, street;) the walk on the north sides of lots numbered 109 and 110 on Se.cond`street; the walk on the south side of lot numbered 138•on,Fourth street; the -walk in front of and adjacent to lots numbered 140, 1421 144, 146, 148 and 154 on Fourth street-fthe walk on the west side of lots num- bered 1 and 15 on 2k Ninth street the walk in front of and adjacent to lots numbered 6,'8, 10, 12 and 14 on Ninth street), the walk'on the west side of lot numbered & 23, in bloc's 3, on North. street,. in Depot addition -,__.t_o_.,said city;the walk in front of and adjacent to lots numbered 17, 18, 19,1211 22, 2 , 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 28,. 30, 31, 32, 33 and 34 on Ninth street, in block 3, Depot addition to-said.city;)the walk in front of and adjacent to lots numbered 1,'2, 39 411 '59 61 70 8, 9, and 10, in Block 2, Calkin's addition to said city; the walk on.the west side of lot num- bered 1, on Iron .;avenue, 'in Phillips addition to said city; the walk on the west end of hots numbered 6, 61 79 8, and 9, on Ninth street, in Phillips addition to said city, and the walk adjacent to the west 135 feet on the south side of lot numbered 10 on Ninth street, be- tween Ninth and Tenth streets, in Phillips addition to said city of Salina, be and the -same are hereby condemned as worn out, worthless and unfit for re.pair,:.and that said walks and each of them be removed, re -built and re -constructed as provided and required by this ordinance. Sec. 2. That the owner or owners of each of the several lots, parts- of lots and property described and mentioned in section 1 of this ordinance be and they are hereby required to remove the sidealks condemned by section 1 of this ordinance, and to re -build and re -construct such x walks in the manner specified in this ordinance:, on or before the ZU� -day of , 1901. ec. a sidealk herein provided for.shall be of.even grade thaougl out.,:and shall be constructed of the material and' in the manner and of the width provided for and specified in Ordinance No. 1038 of the printed ordinances -of the city of Salina, which said ordinance is hereby made a part of this ordinance. Sec. 4. The Committee on Sidewalks.shall, as.soon as practicable 0 after the �day' of, 1901, cause such zidwadk sidewalk to be co*struct-ec`i�n fron o , a eng and adjacent to all the property and premises- described in -section "1 -of -this ordineince:whose ovine"rsF fal . t o remove and re -build said walks as required by this ordinance, ;and" shall report its proceedings, together with the length of walk so constructed and rebuilt, and the actaal expense thereof to the city council. Sec. 5. The actual expense of removing and rebuilding such walks by said committee shall be assessed against the real estate abutting thereon and collected as'other taxes against said real estate.
