1078 Improve Alley (Santa Fe & 5th)ORDINANCE N0. !
An Ordinance authArizing and directing the repairing and re -paving of
certain .alleys in the City., of'.Salina.,. Kansas, hereinafter
named and described.
,'Be, it ordained by the L��[.ayor and Councilmen of the City..'of Salina:
Section 1. That the'c.ity council be; and it is hereby,, authorized'
and directed to cause.the alley between Santa Fe. avenue and Fifth street,
south from Iron avenue to the south line of. hots No. 116 of. Fifth street.
and 115 on Santa Fe avenue, and the alley between Santa Fe avenue and
Seventh street south from Iron avenue to the south line of Lots No. 116
on Santa, Fe avenue and 115 on Seventh street, -to be repaired and re -
paved as specified in Section 2 of thi ordinance.
See. 2. That the repairing and re -paving herein provided
for shall be done in accordance with the original plans provided for
the paving of said alleys and the directions and specifications of the
city engineer now on file in the office of the city clerk of said city.
Sec. 3. That the mayor and city clerk be authorized to con-
tract with the Nelson Building and Mercantile Company, of Salina, Kansas,
for the repairing and re -paving of said alleys above described, at -end
for the price or prices named in their proposal now on file with the
clerk of said city, and in compliance with the plans, estimate, direc-
tions and specifications of the city engineer on
file in the office of said clerk.
/ Sec . 'That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its publication once in the "Salina Daily Republican -
Journal,
