An Ordinance providing; for the condemnation, ramoval and recon-
struction of certain side,,,Talks-.in.the City of Salina,

Be it ordained by the Mayor and Council of the City :of Salina:--
Section
alina:- -Section 1. That each and all of the following described
sidewalks, in said city, to -wit,: the sidewalk onthe south side of

the walk on the south side of and adjacent to the west one-half
of lot 47 on Elm street, between'3rd and.4th streets; the walk on
the north side of and adjacent to lot. numbered 80 on Ash street,
between 4th and 5th streets; the walk in front of and adjacent to
lots numbered 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7 on Gypsum avenue,- in Block 12
of Oakdale addition to the 'City of Salina; the walk-, on the east
side of and adjacent to lot.4 on Prescott avenue, in Block One of

addition to the City of Salina; e the walk on the south side of

9 and 10 in Wells' -addition to the 'City of Salina:, -be and the

same are hereby condemned as.worn•`out, worthless and unfit for
repair, and that said walks and`each of them -lie removed, rebuilt
and.reconstructed as requ-fired byrthis ordinance.
Sec. 2'. That the .owner or owners of aach and all of the
lots and Darts of lots mentioned in Section 1 of this Ordinance
be and they are hereby required to remove.the sidewalks condemned
by section 1 of this Ordinance and to rebuild and reconstruct the
same in the `mnner specified in this .ordinanc-)on or before the
day of_ , 1901.
Sec. 3. The xxt sidewalk h in pro- ded*fbr shall be of.,
even grade throughout, to be determined-.by„the city engineer, and.
shall be constructed of the material aha width and in the manner
specified in. -Ordinance No. 1038 of;the;printed ordinance of the
Cite of Salina, which.said ordinance,No. 1038 is hereby incorpor-
ated in and made •a part of this 'ordinance.
Sec 4. The Committee on Si alks'. shall, as soon as
practicable after the day of , 19011 cause such

side�ralk to be constructed in front of, al and adjacent to all.
or any -of the prer,qises described in Section 1 of this Ordinance, as
provided fn such section, whose owners fail to remdve and rebuild
said walks as required by this ordinance, and shall report its
proceedings together with the length of walk so constructed and
rebuilt, and the actual expense thereof, to the City Council.
Sec. $. The expense -of removing and rebuilding.such walks
by said committee shall be assessed against»the real estate
abutting thereon and collected as other taxes against said real
estate.

Sec. 6. This ordinance shall tkae effect and be in force
from and atter its publication once in the "Salina Daily RxmA
Republican -Journal.”
