` An Ordinance making a levy of Taxes for the .y ear A.D. 1893.
BE IT ORDAINK) by the P-iayor and Councilmen of The City of Salina,
Kansas:
SPCTION I.That the sum on the dollar be and the
same is here -by levied on all the real estate and personal property
in The City of Salina, Kansas, for the year A.D. 1898 , for the follow-
ing purposes,to-wit:
For general revenue,the sum of mills on the dollar.
For opening and improving streets,avenues and al_leys,and :for build-
ing bridges, culverts and crossings, the sum of dj�_--mil.ls on the
doll a.r.
For paying interest on the following bonds of. said ci.ty,to-wit:
IE-), 000.00 bonds issued January I st. A.D. 1886.
44, 000.00 bonds issued november 22nd. 1887.
7,000.00 bonds issued March ist.1888.
16,000.00 bonds issued July Ist.I888.
20,000.00 bonds issued November 29th.1889.

SECTION 2.That the surf of—mills on on the dollar be and the
same is hereby levied on all real estate in the City of' Salina,Kan-
sas, for the. year I898, for the purpose of paying interest on
$14,000.00 of sewer bonds issued by said city. ,t
SFCTION 3.That the 'sum of mills on the dollar be and the
same:.is hereby levied -on all real estate in the City of Salina ,Kan
sas,for the puxpvxvx year I898,for the purpose of creating a sink-
ing fund to redeem'certain sew er' bonds issued by" said city July

SECTION;.. :.The city clerk is hereby instructs to certify the levies
herein provide to the county clerk of Saline County,Kansasas Pr-o-
Vided by law.
