SECTION -Chat the sidewalk herein provided for,shall be -
of -even grade throughout,to be determined by the city enginjeer,and
shall tie built six feet wide, of good,q,uality of flat, stone or vit-
rified brick,or of good quality of white pine plank,two inches
thick,spiked with twenty- or .,re nails,and supported by
.penny cut wise
three two by six inch stringers, well lapped,spiked with twenty pen-
ny nails as aforesaid, the stringers shall be laid upon flat stones
placed at intervals of not more' than four feet and the outside
strinp.-,ers shall be placed within three inches of .each end of the

S ECT I ONThe committee on side -walks -shall as soon as prac-
ti cable after the expiration of --j days from the taking eff-
ect of this ordinanc.e,cause said walks, to be constructed between
the limits and along th�portions of the streetShereinbefore set,
forth in section one of this ordinance,in front of and along the
side of all - lots or parcels of land and premises lying along the,(24&J
said streetAwhose o-vvners shall not have complied- . with the above-Ve-
quirements,and shall report their proceedings together with the
length and distance across each lot or Marcel of' land, upon or a-
