An ordinance requiring the payment of certain sums into the
City Treasury and providing for the certificationto the
County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas, of- certain sums
not paid in and to be assessed and taxed against certain
land.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina:
Section 1. That the owner or owners of the following de
scribed lots and tracts of land be and they are hereby required
to pay into the treasury of the city of Salina, Kansas, on or
before June 1, 1918, the sums set opposite the lands hereinafter
described for the payment of the amount assessed against the
owners of such tracts of land on account of the widening and ex -
tension of Elm Street and Eleventh Street in said City in accord-
ance with the report of the appraisers -heretofore filed in the
office of the City Clerk upon the 20th day of August, 1917, and
accepted and approved by the Mayor and Council upon the 20th day
of ,August, 1917, all in accordance with Ordinance No. 2055,
passed and approved by the Mayor and Council upon the 21st day of

Sec. 2. That unless said sums so specified are paid on
or before the lst day of June, 1918, that the City Clerk shall
certify the assessment so made and in the amounts as aforesaid
to the County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas, at the same time
and.in the same manner as other assessments are certified and
the -same shall be assessed against the tracts of land as here-
inbefore set forth and collected as other taxes against such
land are collected.
Sec. 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force from and after its publication once in the official City
paper.
