ORDINANCE NO. 2134.
in the Salina Daily Unio
An ordinance levying and assessing special assessments on certain
lots and pieces of ground in the city of Salina, Kansas,
to pay the costs of curbing, guttering, excavating, grad-
ing and paving of Wilson ttreet, in the City of Salina,
from the west line of Santa Fe Avenue to the east line of High-
land Avenue of said City and relating to and providing for
the collection of such assessments.
BE IT ORDAINED, by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina:.
Section 1. That for the purpose of paying the costs of
curbing, guttering, excavating, grading snd paving Wilson Street,
in the City of Salina, Kansas, from the west line of Santa Fe Aven-
ue to the east line of Highland Avenue of said City as described
in Ordinance No. 2035, that there is hereby levied and assessed
against the property liable therefor, the same being the proper-
ty abutting on such street on either side thereof, according to
the appraised value thereof, for the purpose of such improvements
or buildings thereon, such special assessment being based on the
valuation of such lots and pieces of ground heretofore made by
three disinterested appraisers, appointed by the Mayor and Coun-
cil for the purpose of making such appraisements, which appraise-
mdnt is� hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. The
several amounts levied and assessed the -lots and pieces of ground
aforesaid for the purpose aforesaid are hereby found and determined
to be as follows:

Sec. 2.
Such
amounts
so levied and assessed
shall be due
and payable from and after the publication of this ordinance.
The City Clerk of the City of Salina shall certify to the County
Clerk of Saline County, Kansas, in the same manner and at the
same time as other taxes are certified for the year 1918, all of
the above special assessments which have not been paid thirty days
after the publication of this ordinance, together with interest
on such amounts in the sum of four and one-half per cent per annum
and such amounts so certified shall be placed on the tax roll and
collected as other taxes are collected.
Sec. 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force from and after -its publication once in the official City
paper.

Section 2. �3uch amounts so levied and assessed shall be
due and payable -from and after the publication of this ordinance. The
City Clerk of the City of Salina shall certify to the County Clerk of
Saline County, I/,-arz_ns, in the same marmer and at the same time as other
taxes are certified for the year 1918,. all of the above special assess-
ments which have not been paid within thirty days after the publication
of this ordinance, together with interest on such amounts in the sura of
4-1- per cent .per aniaum and such amourits so certified shall be -Dla.ced on
the tax roll ,and collected as other taxes are collected.
Section 3. This ordinance shad take effect and be in full
force from and after its publication once in the- official city paper.
Passed and approved January 1918.
