Studebaker, 1/2 day additional appraising on Front Street ----------------- 1.50 Total -------------$28566.40 411 at any time within thirty days after the publication of this ordinance and before the issuance of the bonds of said city in payment of the balance of the cost of said improvements, and his property so paid on shall not thereafter be liable for any further assessments for the cost of said improvements, nor for any part -of said bonds. Sec. 3. There is hereby further levied and assessed a- gainst each lot and piece of ground described in this ordinance not to exceed five ( 5) per cent interest per annum on all of said installments above mentioned from the date of the bonds which may be ' issued at the end of the thirty . days specified in the preceding section hereof, as by law provided, which said in- terest shall be collectibel annually at the same.time and in the same manner as said installments are collected; and after the taking effect of this ordinance,. it shall be the duty of the city clerk of said city to annually, at the same time other tax- es, are certified, and until all .of said assessments so apport- ioned and levied herein have been certified, to certify to the county clerk of Saline county, Kansas, a full list of all pro- perty liable to assessment and taxation for such work and im- provement, except such property on which the special assess- ments aforesaid have been paid in full, as hereinbefore provid- ed., together with - the respetive- amounts due on each of said lots and pieces and parcels of ground, which amounts shall include the annual installments of such special assessments together with interest for one year at the rate of five per cent per annum on all unpaid balances of.such assessments at the beginning of each such year, as aforesaid; and such amounts so certified as herein provided shall be placed upon the tax roll by the county clerk of Saline county, Kansas, and collected as other taxes are collected. Sec. 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication once in the Salina Evening Journal. Passed and approved November 15th, 1915. (SEAL) J - E Pfatla.
