An ordinance authorizing the Mayor and Clerk of the City of Salina
to execute a deed, on behalf of the City of Salina, to The
Union Pacific Railroad Company, -The ktchison, Topeka & Santa
Fe Railway Company, The Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railway
Company and The Missouri Pacific Railway Company, for the real
estate hereinafter described and for the purpose set forth.
WHEREAS, as one of the considerations covering the location,
construction, maintenance and operation of a Union Passenger Depot,
together with the appurtenances thereto belonging, in the City of
Salina, Saline County, Kansas, by the Railroad And Railway Companies,
hereinbefore named, the City of Salina agreed to provide said Companies
with certain right-of-way and ordinance rights necessary to be had to
permit said Companies properly to serve the Union Passenger Depot,
therefore,
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina:
Section 1. That the Mayor of the City of Salina, Kansas, is
hereby authorized to execute a quit claim deed on behalf of said City,
and the City Clerk of said City is hereby authorized to attest and
attach the seal of said City to such deed, conveying to each of the
following grantees; The Union Pacific Railroad Company, The Atdhison,
Topeka & Santa Fe Railway Company, The Chicago, Rock Island &. Pacific
Railway Company and the Missouri Pacific Railway Company, an('undivided
one-fourth interest in and to the following described real estate in
the City of Salina.. Kansas, to -wit: -

All that part of the Reserve in Weaver's second Ad-
dition to the City of Salina, Kansas, bounded on the north by the right -
of -way of The Union Pacific Railroad 6ompany; on the south by the right-
of-way of The Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway Company; on the east
by Thirteenth Street and on the west by Fourteenth (Phillips) street;
being more particularly described as follows: -
Beginning at the interesect ion of the east line of the
said Fourteenth (Phillips) Street with the'sbutheasterly right-of-way
line of The Union Pacific Railroad Company, which said southeasterly
right -of -way -line is parallel -with and'Fifty (50) feet southeasterly
from, when measured at right angles, to the center line of main track
of the said Union Pacific Railroad Company; thence northeasterly,
along a line parallel with and Fifty (50) feet southeasterly from the
center line of said main track of the said Union Pacific Railroad Com-
pany, Three Hundred Forty -Seven and five -tenths (347.5) feet, more or
less, to a point in the west line of Thirteenth Street; thence south
along the said west line of Thirteenth Street, Seventy -Four -and two-
tenths (74.2) feet, more or less, to the -intersection of the north
westerly right-of-way line of The Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway
Company, which said right-of-way line is parallel with and Thirty-five
(35) feet northwesterly from, when measured.normally to the center line
of original main track of the said The Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe
Railway Company; thence southwesterly, along -a line parallel -with and
Thirty -Five (35) Feet northwesterly from said original center line of
main track of the said The Atchison, Topeka, & Santa Fe Railway Com-
pany, Three Hundred Thirty-four and three -tenths (334.3) feet., more or
less, to a point. in the east line of Fourteenth (Phillips) Street;
thence north, along the said east line of Fourteenth (Phillips) Street,
Twenty -Five and eight -tenths (25.8) feet, more or less, to the point
of beginning. Containing an area of Fifteen Thousand One Hundred
Sixty -Two (15,162) square feet, more or less.

Sec. 2. Said deed to be delivered upon the completion of the
opening of Twelfth Street, in the City of Salina,, from Bishop Street
to North Street.
Sec. 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its publication once in the Salina Evening Journal.
