1888 Debris in the StreetM ORD INANCE.NO. 1888. venins Journal Sente An ordinance prohibiting the scattering of coal, rock, stone, gravel, etc., on paved streets and prescribing punishment for the vio- lation thereof. be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Sa l ina : Section 1. It shall be unlawful for 'any person to draw, or haul over the paved streets of the City of Salina, any broken stone, coal, sand, manure, mud, dirt, clay, ashes, or rubbish of any kind, except in a wagon, cart or other vehicle with a tight box thereon, so con- structed as to prevent the spilling or scattering of any of the sub- stances therein contained, upon said paved streets. Any person vio- lating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof, fined not less than Three ($3.00) Dollars, nor more than Twenty -Five ($25.00) Dollars, for each offense. Sec. 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication once in the Salina Evening Journal. Passed and approved September 20th, 1915. (SEAL) Attest: Chas . E . Banker.
