1807 Appropriations Railroad Right-of-WayORDINANCE NO. 1807 (Published in the Salina Evening Journal, DecemberZ4 1914) An ordinance making an appropriation of a certain sum of money to pay for certain real estate for the union station and for railway Right of Way into and from the same. Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina: Section 1. That thereis hereby appropriated out of any funds in the hands of the city treasurer- the sum of Fifteen Hundred Dollars, (1500.00) for the purpose of paying for the following described teal estate in the city of Salina, found necessary to be acquired by said city for railroad Right of Way into and from the new union railway sta- tion in said city, to -wit: Commencing at a point where the south line of the Right of Way of The Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe Railway intersects the west line of Phillips or Fourteenth Street in Weavers' Seocand_-,Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas.; thence in a southwesterly direction a- long the south .line of the said Right of Way to the east -line of Col- lege avenue or Fifteenth street in said Weavers' Second Addition; thence south to the north line of the present Right of Way of the Missouri Pacific Railway; thence in a northeasterly direction along -the north line of said Right of Way to the West line of, Phillips pr Fourteenth Street;-'thentce north ,dlbng x.thd-wost:I-1 pb bfcsaidi.? llipsiotiYburtbenthh Street to the place of beginning, except the alley located in the cen- ter of the said block running north and south; said described tract be- ing that part of Lots Ten (10), Twelve (12) -and Fourteen (14) on Phill- ips or Fourteenth Street, Weavers' Second Addition, lying south of the Right- of Way of The Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe Railway and north of the present Right of Way of the Missouri Pacific Railway, and that part of Lots Five (5), Seven (7), Nine (9) and Eleven (11) on College Aven- ue or Fifteenth street, Weavers' Second Addition, lying_ south of The Atchison, Toepeka and Santa Fe Railway Right of Way and north of the present Right of Way of the Missouri Pacific Railway. And all that tract or parcel of land known as R serve in Weaver's Second Addition to the City of Salina, which is b+pLd- ed on the north by the Right of Way of the Union Pacific Railroad Company, on the south by the Right of way of the Missouri Pacific Railway Company, on the east by -Thirt- eenth (13th) street, and 'on the west by Fourteenth (14th) Street, ex - cepting, a strip of land seventy (70) feet in width, being thirty-five (35) feet on each side of the center line of original main track of The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company. Sec. 2. That an order be drawn on the city treasurer for the sum of money hereby -appropriated, payable to F. L. Weaver, and that such warrant shall only be delivered to said Weaver upon the execution and delivery by him to the said city of a good and sufficient warranty deed for the premises and real estate above described. Sec. 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in fordo from and after its publication once in the Salina Evening Journal. Adopted and approved, December, 7th, 1914. (SEAL) V. E.
