1803 Issue Sewer Bonds184 ORDINANCE NO. 1803 (Published in the Salina Evening Journal November(, 1914) An ordinance providing for the issuance of sewer improvement bonds of the city of Salina, Kansas, in the sum of $3,900.00 WHEREAS, the mayor and council of the city of Salina have caused to be built and constructed certain sewers in said city, as described and provided for in.Ordinance No. 1783, passed and approved August 3, 1914, and Ordinance No. 1790, passed and approved September 8, 19142 the cost and contract price of which said sewers is 3,900.00, there - f ore; Be it ordained by the Mayor abd Councilmen of the City of Salina: Section 1. That the cost of said sewers, shall be payable in six (6) annual installments, instead of levying the entire assessment or tax for such cost at one time, the first installment to be paid with the taxes for the year 1915, and one installment with the taxes for each succeeding year thereafter until the whole sum is paid; and for such installments there shall be and are hereby issued sewer im- provement bonds of the city of Salina in the total sum of $3.,900.00', as herein provided. Sec. 2. Said issue of bonds shall consist of _six (6) bonds of the denomination of $500.00 each, and six (6) bonds of the denomina- tion of $150.00 each; they shall be dated December lst, 1914, and shall be due and payable as follows, viz: $650.00 on the first day of De- cember 1915s and $650.00 on the first day of December in each year thereafter for. five years. Sec. 3. Said bonds shall bear interest at the rate of five per- cent (5%) per annum from their date, payable semi-annually on the first days of June and December of each year, the first semi-annual installment of interest falling due on(June 1st, 1915; and the sever- al installments of interest shall be evidenced by coupons attached to said bonds, and both principal and interest shall be payalbe at the Fiscal Agency of the State of Kansas at Topeka, Kansas. Sec. 4. Said bonds shall be signed by the mayor and attested by the clerk of said city, and shall have the corporate seal of the city affixed thereto, and such Interest coupons shall be signed by said city clerk. Sec. 5. The mayor and clerk of said city are hereby authorized and directed to prepare and execute, as soon as practicable, the said bonds herein provided for, therein pledging the credit of said city for the payment thereof, and when executed the said bonds shall be by the mayor and council sold, for not less than their par value, and out of the proceeds thereof pay the cost of building and constructing 1 fl 1 1 �7' and after its publication once in the Salina -Evening Journal.
