An ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of certain
claims.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen .of the City of Salina:
Section 1. That the sum of Three Thousand Eight Hundred Ninety-
three and 99/100 Dollars, ($3,893.99),* be. and the same is hereby ap-
propriated out of the General Fund in the hands of the City Treasurer
for the payment of the following claims:

Sec. 2. That orders be drawn on the City Treasurer for the pay-
ment of the claims mentioned in Section One (1) hereof.
Sec. 3. That the sum of Eleven Thousand Five Hundred Three and
14100 Dollars, (11,503.14) be and the same is hereby appropriated
out of any funds in the hands of the City Treasurer for the payment
of the following claims:
To Kaw Paving Co., for paving East Walnut Street from
Fifth street, east to bridge at Front Street -------------- 8512.01
To Watts & Amerman for curbing and guttering Highland
avenue from Prescott avenue to Republic_ avenue, and Tenth
Street, from Iron avenue to Ash Street --------------------- 1787.91
To Kaw Paving Co., for curbing and guttering East and
West Walnut, from Fifth street to bridge and from Tenth st .

of such claims, said scrip to be issued for the last seven amounts
set out above, to be made payable on demand and bearing rio interest;
and for the first four (4)' amounts thereof, said scrip shall be pay-
able in ninety days, with interest not exceeding 61 per annum.
