An ordinance levying special assessments against the property here-
in described to pay the cost of constructing certain sidewalks in the city
of Salina.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina:
Section 1. That there be and is hereby levied and assessed against
each of the lots and parts of lots hereinafter described a special tag or
assessment for the purpose of paying the cost of constructing certain side-
walks abutting said property by the city of Salina, Kansas, between the 15th
day of August 1913, and the 15th day of August, 1914, in the various amounts
set opposite the following described lots and parts of lots, to -wit: -

See. 2. That the City Clerk be and he Is hereby directed and auth-

lzedto('Immediately certify the assessments made in section one of this
ordinance -to the county clerk of Saline county, Kansas,, to be placed
upon the tax rolls for collection subject to the aurae penalties and
collected in like manner as other taxes.
Sec. 3. This ordinance shall take affect -and be in force from
and after its publication once In the Salina Evening Journal,
