Be it.ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City'of Salina: Section 1. That the owner or owners of all real estate abutting .22.5 on the north side of fish street between Des Moines avenue and Ohio street, and on the east side of Ohio street between Ash street and Iron avenue, and of Lots numbered one (1) and fourteen (14) in Block Four (4), Oakdale addition in and to the city of Salina, shall construct or cause to be con- structed, on or before the 20th day of August, 1914, a sidewalk in front of and along the side of said lots above described, said sidewalk to be constructed of the width, material, and in the form and manner specified and required by the provisions of Ordinance No. 1038 of the printed ord- inances of the city of Salina, which said last named ordinance is hereby made a part hereof. Sec. 2. That the owner or owners of Lots numbered 90 and 96 on Seventh street, in the city of Salina, are hereby required on or before th e 20th day of August, 1914, to repair the sidewalk in front of said lots 90 and 96•by raising the same to.grade and making the same even and fit for public travel. Sec. 3. The committee on sidewalks of the city council, shall, as soon as practivable after the'said 20th of August, 1914, cause the side-. walks described in sections one and two to be built and repaired, respect- ively, as therein provided where such owner or owners fail or refuse to compky with the provisions of this ordinance, as herein provided, and shall report their proceedings together with the length and kind of walk constructed and laid and thy; cost and expense thereof to the city council; and•the cost of such walk.so constructed and repaired by said committee shall be assessed against the real estate abutting thereon according tp the front foot thereof and collected as other taxes against such real est- ate. Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen: of the City of Salina: Section 1.
