1748 Custodian & Special Police, & Janitor1 TPAY 1 1 OHDINANC:E_.,NO..- l,748__._____- -- - -- - - -- - - (Published in the Salina Evening Journal February 1q, 1914) An ordinance abolishing the office of "Custodian and Special Police", and providing for the employment of a janitor for the City Building and grounds of the city of Salina. Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina: Section. 1. That the office of "Custodian and Special Police", heretofore and on the 19th day of May, 1913, created by the ap- pointment and confirmation,, by the mayor and council of the city of Salina, of N. E. Wigley to fill such position, is hereby abolished. Sec. 2. After the passage of this ordinance the mayor and council may employ a janitor for the City Building and grounds of said city; whose errnployment shall be at the pleasure of the said mmayor and council, and whose duties shall be such as may be requir- ed of him in properly cleaning and keeping heated such city build- ing, and the proper care and keeping of the sidewalks and grounds around such building, and whose compensation shall be Sixty ($60.00) Dollars per month. Sec. 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and,after its adoption and its publication once in the Salina Eve - ning Journal. Passed and approved February, 16, 1914. V.' E.
