An Ordinance providing for the issuance of sewer i vement bonds
of the City of Salina, Kansas, in the sum of�0®
WHr!aEAS,, the mayor and council of the city of .'Salina have
caused to be built and constructed certain sewers in said city, as
provided by Ordinance No.1686, the cost and contract price of which
is mofe than $ —�'� therefor;,
Be it Ordain4d by'the Mayor and Cquncilmen of the city of Salina:
Section 1. That the cost_of said sewers shall be payable in
annual installments, instead of levying the entire tax for such cost
at one time, the first installment to be paid with `the taxes of 1913,
and one installment with the.taxes of each succeeding year until the
whole of such sum is paid; and for such installments there shall be
issued sewer improvement bonds of the city of Salina in the total sum
of ���, as herein provided.
Sec. 2. -Said issue of bonds shall consist of ten (10) bonds of
the denominations of d® " o each., they shall be dated April
1st, 1913, and shall be due gnd payable as follows, viz: O C90
on the 1st day of April 1914, and $ f2LE m ® on the 1st day of
April in each year thereafter for nine years.
Sec. 3. Said bonds shall bear interest at the rate of five (5)
per cent per annum from their date; payable semi annually on the first
days of April and October of each year, the first semi-annual install-
ment Xf interest falling due tAptmber let, 1913, and the several in-
stallments of interest shall be evidenced by coupons attached to said
bonds, and both principal and interest shall be payable at the Fiscal
Agency of the State of Kansas, at Topeka, Kansas.
Sec. 4. Said bonds shall be signed by *he mayor and attested
by the clerk of siad city,,., .and shall have th® corporate seal of said
city affixed thereto, and said interest coupons shall be signed by
the city clerk.
Sec. 5. The mayor and clerk of said city are hereby authorized
and directed to prepare and execute as soon as practicable, the said
'bonds herein provided for,.therein pledging the creditofsaid city :0
.for the payment thereof, and when,.executed the said bonds shall be by
.the mayor and council sold., for not less than their par value., and out
of the.proceeds thereof, kay the cost of building and constructing such
sewers as aforesaid; provided

that none
of the -,proceeds of the sale of sucks, bonds .shall be used for any other
purpose than the payment of the cost of building a.nd'constructing the
sewers described in Ordinance No.lb$b; and the mayor and council sha]Ll
rake provision annually for the.payment of the principal and interest
of said bonds, as the same shall become due, by levying an assessment
on the property liable therefor.
Sec. 6. 'Th'is ordinance shall take effect and be in force froip
and after its publication once in the Salina 7Rvening Journal.,
