1693 Fireman's Relief FundORDINANCE NO. 169 3.
An Ordinance authorizing the Fir.emgn's Relief Association of the -city
of Salina to pay certain moneys out of the Fireman's Relief Fund.
Beit ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the city of Salina:
- ---Seoion 1. That the Fireman's Relief Association of the city of
Salina is hereby authorized to pay out of the Fireman's Relief Fund :6
said city, to Mrs. Mamie Brodbeck, widow of Fred. Brodbeck, the former
chief of the Salina Fire Department who met death through injuries
sustained by him in the discharge of his duties, as a firena,n of said
city, as a gratuity tolsaia widow, a sum of money not in excess of
Three Thousand ($3000.00) Dollars; said gratuity to be paid to said
widow by said Fireman's Relief Association, in payments.of One
Hundred ($100.00) Dollars every three months, the first payment to be
the first day of January 1913, until the whole amount of such gratuit
is paid; Provided, however, that if the said. Mamie Brodbeck shall
marry before the payment to her of the whole amount of said gratuity
as above specified, then all further quarterly payments aforesaid shAL
cease add.determine after the date of her said marriage, and, in such
event, the amount of the gratuity hereby authorized to be paid to
said widow hereby and hereunder shall be the amount or amounts so pad,
to her up and until the date of her said marriage.
Sec. 2. Said Fireman's Relief Association is hereby further
authorized to pay out of the funds of said Association to the person
or persons entitled to the same, the necessary funeral expenses for
the burial of said Fred Brodbeck in the total sum of Three Hundred
Forty Eight '(,1348.00) Dollars.
Sec. 3;. A copy of this ordinance shall be certified by the clef
to .the said.Fixeman's Relief Association, and this ordinance shall
take effect and be in force foom and after its pasoage.
