An Ordinance apportionii7 g and levying; a special tax or assessment to
pay the cost of constructing certain sidewalk in the city of
Salina, Kansas.
Be it Ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the city of Salina:
Section 1. That there be and is hereby levied and assessed
against each of the lots and pg.rts of lots hereinafter described
a special tax for the purpose of paying the -cost of constructing
certain sidewalk abutting said ,property, by the city of Salina, be-
tween the 15th day of August, 1811, and the 25th day of August, 1912,
in the various suns set opposite the following described lots and
pieces of ground' -to-wit:

Sec. .2. That the city clerk be and'is hereby, aithorized and
directed to imm.gdiately certify the assessments made in Section o_me
of this ordinance to the county clerk of Saline county, Kansas, to
be placed upon the tax rolls for collection subject to the'same
penalties -and .collected in like manner as other taxes.
Sec. 3.' mhis ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after, its. publication once in the Sa..lina. Evening ,journal.
