RESOLUTION NUMBER 3281

A RESOLUTION determining the advisability of curbing,.guttering,
paving, and grading improvements, estimating the cost thereof, defining the
boundaries of the improvement district, method of assessment, and apportioning
the cost between the improvement -district and the City -at -large.
WHEREAS, said improvements were requested by petition of those liable
for the cost of the same, said proceedings shall be without notice, as provided
by K.S.A. 12-6a04.
Section 1. That the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas,.hereby finds and finally determines that it is advisable to make the
following improvements, to -wit:
Curbing, guttering, paving, grading and drainage of the FRONTAGE
ROAD from the south line of Lot One.(1), Block One (1), Sullivan
Addition to the City of Salina,.Saline County, Kansas, to the
north line of Belmont Boulevard, extended.
Curbing, guttering, paving and grading of PLANET AVENUE from the
south line of Saturn Avenue north Eight Hundred Sixty-two and
forty-one hundredths feet (862.41') to the existing pavement.
Section .2. The extent or boundaries of the proposed imp•r-ovement
district to be assessed is:
That part of the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas,
described as follows, to -wit:
Lot One (1), Block One (1), Sullivan Addition to the City of
Salina, Saline County, Kansas
South four hundred forty-five feet (445') of the Northeast Quarter
(NEq) of Section Thirty-five (35); Township Fourteen.(14) South,
Range Three (3) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian, lying east
of.the Interstate Highway 35 West in Salina, Kansas.
The South -two hundred twenty feet (220') of Lot Eight (8), Block
Two -.(2.); Waller.i.us-;Ad0Iti.on'1to the:�City of Salina, Saline County,
Kansas.
Lot Eight (8), Block Three (3), Wallerius Addition to the City of
Salina, Saline County, Kansas.
Section 3. The estimated or probable cost of,such improvements is
$96,838.50.
Section 4. The apportionment of cost between the improvement district
and the.City-at-large, is as follows:
1. Costs chargeable to private property in the amount of
$73,925.72.
2. Costs chargeable to the City -at -large in the amount of
$22,912.78.
Section.5. The assessment with accrued interest shall be levied as a
special tax upon the property included within the benefit district concurrent
with the general property taxes and shall be payable in ten (10) equal annual
installments.

Section 6. The method of assessment shall be based on the adjusted
front footage of each lot and without regard to the buildings or improvements of
the land.
Section 7. That the asvisability of the improvements set forth herein
is hereby established without notice and hearing, as authorized by K.S.A. 12-6a04.
Adopted and approved by the Board of Commissioners of the City of
Salina, Kansas, in Regular Session this 21st day of June, 1976.
