RESOLUTION NUMBER 3279
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION OF THE
COMMUNITY TO THE STREET FAIR COMMITTEE OF THE SALINA AMERICAN REVOLUTION
BICENTENNIAL COMMISSION FOR A SPECTACULAR EVENT.
WHEREAS, the Salina American Bicentennial Commission sponsored
a Street Fair on'the 11th and 12th of June, 1976, and
WHEREAS, it was one of the most inspiring, enjoyable and
significant events in the proud history of this community, and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Governing Body of the City of
Salina to express its deep and sincere appreciation and thanks to all
those involved in the'Street.Fair Celebration this past weekend, to Gene
and Marie Chapman who were co -chairpersons of the Street Fair Committee,
to all the Committee Members, and to all the City Officials and Employees
who made the affair a huge success, and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body of the City of Salina wishes to
express..a special thanks to all the citizens of this and surrounding
communities who participated in the Street Fair, SO NOW, THEREFORE,
Kansas:
BE IT RESOLVED by.the Governing Body of -the City of Salina,
Section 1. That the City of Salina show its gratitude and
appreciation to the Street Fair Committee of the Salina American Revolution
Bicentennial Commission by the adoption of -this resolution.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby instructed to spread
the contents of this resolution upon the official records of the City
and to forward a copy of the same to the-SaZina American Revolution
Bicentennial Commission.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas, and signed by the Mayor this 14th day of June, 1976.
