A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE CONSIDERATION
OF ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
That consideration be given to annexation of certain land to the city
and that notice be issued and a public hearing be scheduled by adoption,
publication and mailing of the following notice:
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ANNEXATION
Notice is hereby given to any and all persons that a public hearing
will be held to consider the annexation to the City of Salina, of
the following described land:
A tract of land in the Southeast Quarter of the
Southwest Quarter (SE4SW4) of Section Nineteen (19),
Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Two (2) West of
the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas,
being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the south line of said
Southwest Quarter (SW -I,) that is Four Hundred Thirty-
eight feet (438') west of the southeast corner of
said Southwest Quarter (SW4); thence NOo35'W a
distance of Seven Hundred Fifteen and Seven Tenths
feet (715.7'); thence N87oO8'E, a distance of Four
Hundred Forty-eight and Four Tenths feet (448.4')
to the east line of said Southwest Quarter (SW -14);
thence north a distance of Five Hundred Eighty-seven
feet (587') to the northeast corner of the Southeast
Quarter of said Southwest Quarter (SE4SW4); thence
west a distance of Seven Hundred Twenty-six feet (726')
along the north line of the Southeast Quarter of said
Southwest Quarter (SE4SW4); thence south a distance of
One Thousand Three Hundred Twenty feet (1320') along a
line parallel to the east line of said Southwest
Quarter (SW -I,) to the south line of said Southwest Quarter
(SW -14) thence east, a distance of Two Hundred Eighty-eight
feet (288') to the point of beginning, containing 14.6
acres, more or less.
A sketch of the proposed annexation is attached to this notice.
Said public hearing will be held at 4:00 P.M. on the 22nd day of
January, 1979, in Room 200, City -County Building, 300 West Ash, Salina,
Kansas by the Governing Body, at which time the City shall present a

proposal for annexation, including a plan for extension of services to
the area proposed to be annexed and hear comments from all interested
persons.
Adopted by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas, and
approved by the Mayor this 20th day of November, 1978.
