A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION AND FILING
WITH THE KANSAS STATE HISTORICAL SOCIETY OF AN HISTORIC
PRESERVATION GRANT APPLICATION AND DESIGNATING THE CITY MANAGER
AS THE AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE OF THE CITY OF SALINA TO ACT IN
CONNECTION WITH THE APPLICATION.
WHEREAS, the City of Salina (City) intends to continue implementing
the provisions of Ordinance Number 8760 which adopts a Heritage Conservation
District and requires the preparation of a Heritage Conservation Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to make application to the Kansas State
Historical Society for grant funds to assist in the preparation of said plan;
SO NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the City prepare and file with the Kansas State
Historical Society an application for financial assistance for Federal fiscal
year 1984.
Section 2. That the City Manager be designated as the City's chief
executive officer and authorized representative.
Section 3. As the chief executive officer and authorized
representative, the City Manager is hereby authorized to file said application,
to act in connection with the application and to provide such additional
information as may be required.
Section 4. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas,
and signed by the Mayor this 16th day of January, 1984.
