A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A "SPECIAL STREET MACHINERY.AND EQUIPMENT
FUND" AND TRANSFERRING MONEY FROM THE STREET FUND INTO SAID ACCOUNT.
WHEREAS, K.S.A. 68-141(g) authorizes and empowers the governing body
of any municipality to transfer from the road, bridge or street fund of a
municipality not to exceed 25% of the amount credited to such fund to a special
road, bridge or street building, machinery, equipment and bridge building fund;
and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas,
deems it advisable to establish a "Special Street Machinery and Equipment Fund"
and to transfer thereto a portion of the present street funds, SO NOW, THEREFORE
Kansas:
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,,
Section 1. There is hereby established a special fund to be known as
"Special Street Machinery and Equipment Fund" which shall be used for the
purpose of purchasing road, bridge and/or street building machinery or equipment
pursuant of K.S.A. 68-141(g).
Section 2. That the sum of $38,000 is hereby transferred from the
Street Fund of the City of Salina, Kansas, to the Special Street Machinery and
Equipment Fund.
Section 3. That a copy of this resolution shall be delivered to the
Treasurer who shall credit the above amount to the Special Street Machinery and
Equipment, Fund and shall debit the Street Fund in accordance with this resolution
Section 4. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor this
21st day of December, 1981.
