A RESOLUTION directing and ordering a public hearing on the advisabilit,
of curbing, guttering, paving, grading, and storm sewer drainage improvements
in a certain district and giving notice of such hearing.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
That a public hearing shall be had by the Board of Commissioners of
the City of Salina, Kansas, on the advisability of the following improvements:
Curbing, guttering, paving,.grading NOTTINGHAM DRIVE from the east
line of Shalimar Drive to the west line of Sherwood Lane.
Curbing, guttering, paving, grading SHERWOOD LANE from the north
line of. Nottingham Drive to the west line of Huntington Road.
Curbing, guttering, paving, grading HUNTINGTON ROAD from the north
line of Sherwood Lane to the north line of Sequoia Drive.
Curbing, guttering, paving, grading SHALIMAR DRIVE from the south
line of Nottingham Drive to the north line of Sequoia Drive.
Curbing, guttering, paving, grading REVERE DRIVE from the east line
of Ohio Street to the west line of Marlow Drive.
Curbing, guttering, paving, grading MARLOW DRIVE from the south line
of Revere Drive to the west line of Shalimar Drive.
Curbing, guttering, paving, grading LINDEN DRIVE from the south line
of Nottingham Drive to the north line of Sequoia Drive.
Storm sewer system in Nottingham Drive from Linden.Drive to Huntington
Road.
on the 1st day of June, 1981, at 4:00 o'clock P.M., in the City Commission
Meeting Room, City -County Building, as provided by K.S.A. 12-6a01 to 12-6al8.
The City Clerk shall publish the -following notice of such hearing in
the official city newspaper in the manner provided by law.
NOTICE OF.PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ADVISABILITY OF
CERTAIN CURBING,.GUTTERING, PAVING, GRADING, AND STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENTS
NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of the City
of Salina, Kansas, will meet for the purpose of holding a public hearing as
provided by K.S.A. 12-6a01 to 12-6a18, in the City Commission Meeting Room,
City -County Building, on the 1st day of June, 1981, at 4:00 o'clock P.M. to
consider the advisability of the following improvements:
Curbing, guttering, paving, grading NOTTINGHAM DRIVE from the east
line of Shalimar Drive to the west line of Sherwood Lane.
Curbing, guttering, paving, grading SHERWOOD LANE from the north
line of Nottingham Drive to the west line of Huntington Road.
Curbing, guttering, paving, grading HUNTINGTON ROAD from the north
line of Sherwood Lane to the north line of Sequoia Drive..
Curbing, guttering, paving, grading SHALIMAR DRIVE from the south
line of Nottingham Drive to the north line of Sequoia Drive.
Curbing, guttering, paving, grading REVERE DRIVE from the east line
of Ohio Street to the west line of Marlow Drive.
Curbing, guttering, paving, grading MARLOW DRIVE from the south line
of Revere Drive to the west line of Shalimar Drive.
Curbing, guttering, paving, grading LINDEN DRIVE from the south line
of Nottingham Drive to the north line of Sequoia Drive.

The extent or boundaries of the proposed improvement district to be
assessed is:
That part of the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas, described as
follows, to -wit:
The South 30 feet of Lot 6, and all of Lots 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13,
14, and the South 50 feet of Lot 15, Block 7, Mayfair Addition.
The South 10 feet of Lot 4, all of.Lots 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and
the South 47 feet of Lot 12, Block 8, Mayfair Addition.
South 60 feet of Lot 7, all of Lots 8, 9, 10, and the South 60 feet
of Lot 11, Block 9, Mayfair Addition.
Lots 10, 11, 12, 13, and the South 32.feet of Lot 14, Block 10,
Mayfair Addition.
Lots 1, 2, 3, 10, 11, 12, Block 13, Mayfair Addition
Lots 4 and 5, Block 14, Mayfair Addition
Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, Block 1, Replat of Blocks 11 and 12
and part of Blocks 10 and 14, Mayfair Addition.
Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18,
19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, Block 2, Replat of Blocks 11 and 12
and part of Blocks 10 and 14, Mayfair Addition.
Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18,
19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, Block 3, Replat of Blocks 11 and
12 and part of Blocks 10 and 14, Mayfair Addition.
Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Block 4, Replat of Blocks 11 and 12 and part of
Blocks 10 and 14, Mayfair Addition
The estimated or probable cost of such improvements is $320,771.60.
The proposed apportionment of cost between the improvement district
and the City -at -large is as follows:
1. Costs chargeable to private property in the amount of $320,771.60.
2. No costs chargeable to the City -at -large.
The assessment, with accrued interest, to be levied as a special
assessment tax upon the property included within the benefit district concurrent
with the general property tax and shall be payable in ten (10) equal annual
installments.
The method of assessment shall be based on the adjusted front footage
of each lot of land and without regard to buildings or improvements of the
land.
The hearing may be adjourned from time to time until the Board of
Commissioners shall have made findings by Resolution as,to the advisability of
the improvement district, the method of assessment and the apportionment of
the cost between the district and the City -at -large, all as finally determined
by the Board of Commissioners, provided, the area of the improvement district
may be less than, but shall not exceed the area proposed to be assessed as
stated in this notice without giving notice and holding a new hearing on the
improvement. All persons desiring to be heard with reference to the proposed
improvement will.be heard at this meeting.
