RESOLUTION NUMBER 86-3836
A RESOLUTION DETERMINING IT NECESSARY TO ACQUIRE PRIVATE
-PROPERTY FOR THE USE OF THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS, FOR THE
PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING ARCADES AND CROSSWALKS IN THE DOWNTOWN
BUSINESS DISTRICT AS AUTHORIZED BY RESOLUTION NUMBER 85-3779, AND
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACQUIRE SAID
PROPERTY.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. It is necessary that the City of Salina, Kansas, acquire by
condemnation, purchase, or other legal and necessary means, certain parcels,
parts and tracts of land necessary for the purpose of constructing arcades and
crosswalks in the downtown business district as authorized by Resolution Number
85-3779.
Section .2. The City has authorized and obtained a competent and
qualified appraisal of the value of the property described as:
The North Thirty (30) feet of Lot 95 on Santa Fe Avenue
Original Townsite, in the Town (now City) of Salina,
Saline County, Kansas
Section 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to
take . the appropriate and necessary steps to acquire the North Thirty (30) feet
of Lot 95 on Santa Fe Avenue, Original Townsite, in the Town (now City) of
Salina, Saline County, Kansas at a price not to exceed forty thousand dollars
($40,000).
Section 4. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor this
24th day of March, 1986.
