RESOLUTION NUMBER 86-3825
A RESOLUTION DETERMINING IT NECESSARY TO ACQUIRE PRIVATE
PROPERTY FOR THE USE OF THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS, FOR THE
PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING ARCADES AND CROSSWALKS IN THE DOWNTOWN
:BUSINESS DISTRICT AS AUTHORIZED BY RESOLUTION NUMBER 85-3779, AND
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACQUIRE SAID
PROPERTY.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. It appears necessary that the City of Salina, Kansas,
acquire by purchase, certain parcels, parts and tracts of land necessary for the
purpose of constructing arcades and crosswalks in the downtown business
district as authorized by Resolution Number 85-3779.
Section 2. The City has authorized and obtained a competent and
qualified appraisal of the value of the property described as:
North one-half (ND of Lot 120 on Santa Fe Avenue, Original
Townsite, in the Town (now city) of Salina, Saline County, Kansas
Section 3. The City has reached agreement with the owner of said
property to purchase it for the appraised value of forty-nine thousand
five -hundred dollars ($49,500).
Section 4.
The City Manager
is
hereby
authorized
and directed
to
take the appropriate
and necessary steps
to
acquire
the North
one-half (N#)
of
Lot 120 on Santa Fe Avenue, Original Townsite, in the Town (now City) of
Salina, Saline County, Kansas at a price not to exceed forty-nine thousand
five -hundred dollars ($49,500).
Section 5. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor this
6th day of January, 1986.
