RESOLUTION NUMBER 84-3737
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF SALINA,
KANSAS, TO EXECUTE A COOPERATION AGREEMENT PURSUANT TO K.S.A.
12-5219 ET SEQ., AS AMENDED, IN CONNECTION WITH THE ISSUANCE BY
SALINE C -00-N Y, KANSAS OF ITS SINGLE FAMILY MORTGAGE REVENUE
BONDS.
WHEREAS, pursuant to K.S.A. 12-5219 et seq. , as amended,
including particularly K.S.A. 12-5231 (the "Act"), one or more cities or one or
more counties or one or more cities and counties (the "Cooperating Political
Subdivisions"), may join together or cooperate with one another in the exercise,
either jointly or otherwise, of any one or more of the powers conferred upon
cities and counties under the Act in accordance with and pursuant to a written
agreement entered into between or among such cooperating cities or counties;
and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Saline County,
Kansas, as Issuer (the "Issuer"), desires to undertake a program (the
"Program") to provide decent, safe and sanitary housing for persons and
families of low and moderate income through the issuance of single family
mortgage revenue bonds (the "Bonds") pursuant to the provisions of the Act;
and
WHEREAS, the Issuer and the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Kansas (the "City"), have authority to issue single family mortgage revenue
bonds pursuant to the provisions of the Act; and
WHEREAS, the Issuer and the City desire to provide for the proceeds
of the Bonds to be issued by Issuer to be used to make single family mortgage
loans through mortgage lending institutions with respect to property located
within the boundaries of the Issuer and within the boundaries of the City and
the other Cooperating Political Subdivisions; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body of the City hereby deems and declares
it necessary and in the public interest to authorize, enter into and perform
under a Cooperation Agreement pursuant to the Act for such purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF
THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The Mayor of the City of Salina, Kansas is hereby
authorized to execute, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest the
execution, of a Cooperation Agreement, in the form attached to this Resolution
and incorporated herein by reference, with such amendments or revisions thereof
as the Mayor shall approve, which approval shall be conclusively evidenced by
the execution thereof.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage and approval.

SALINA, KANSAS, this 24th day of September, 1984.
